This research explored young people's perspectives, expectations and aspirations for their educational journeys through co-production. Placing participants at the centre of the research process. Working collaboratively with young people, PRA examined what the next generation hopes to gain from higher education, the support they expect from institutions, and the factors that influence their educational decisions before entering university.

The findings provided research-informed recommendations to support the development of more inclusive, accessible and student-centred programmes, helping institutions design learning environments that better reflect the experiences, aspirations and expectations of the students they serve.

1. Belonging
What does your education provider do now that you enjoy and makes you feel included at school.
 

2. Identity
Do you plan to go to university, what have you heard about it and what do you think it could add to your life.
 

3. Educational Inclusion
Bringing these two conversations together what do you think a university could do to encourage you to join and stay.
